5-Minute Quickstart Guide

This guide gets your local instance of WeaveDesk AI running and tested in less than 5 minutes.

Step 1: Extract & Install Dependencies

Unzip your purchased archive and navigate into the project directory:

cd weavedesk-ai
npm install

Step 2: Start Local Development Server

npm run dev

Open your browser at http://localhost:5173. You will see the complete WeaveDesk AI Operator Desk.

Step 3: Run the In-App Setup Wizard

1. Click on Setup & Licensing in the left sidebar.
2. Complete the 4 configuration steps:
   • Environment Health Check: Verifies Node.js runtime and browser APIs.
   • Database Driver: Select SQLite (default zero-config) or MySQL/PostgreSQL.
   • AI Provider: Enter your OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or Google Gemini API key.
   • White-Label Branding: Enter your app name, custom logo URL, and license key.

Step 4: Build for Production

When you are ready to deploy to production:

npm run build

The compiled static assets are generated in the dist/ directory, ready to deploy to any web server, Nginx, Vercel, or AWS S3.
